Russell has always had a genuine passion for plants, gardens and creating beautiful outdoor spaces that people can enjoy every day. He believes there is something incredibly calming and restorative about being surrounded by plants and nature, and loves helping people create gardens that bring beauty, peace and enjoyment to their homes.

In 2014, Russell turned his lifelong interest into a career, completing his Diploma in Horticulture and becoming a qualified horticulturalist. Since then, he has worked exclusively throughout Sydney’s Inner West, building his experience, plant knowledge and connection with the local community.

Fernandes Garden Solutions really began to grow during COVID, when people were spending more time at home and rediscovering how important their gardens could be. Russell has always been incredibly grateful for the support of the Inner West community, with much of his business growing through recommendations and word of mouth.

Today, Russell loves working closely with his clients, listening to their ideas and helping them create and maintain gardens that truly suit their homes and the way they live.
